To get AIS targets in the Navionics Boating app, start by setting up the X100 to send navigation sentences over WiFi.
In the app, go to Menu > Paired devices, make sure your device and the X100 are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, then connect them. Just follow the app’s instructions to finish the setup. These steps work the same for other apps that support NMEA 0183 data over WiFi.
To receive AIS targets in the Navionics Boating app on mobile or tablet, please use the following instructions:
- First of all, X100 must be setup to output navigation sentences to the mobile app over the WiFi network. Enable "Output Nav" sentences on the X100.
Then, the mobile app can be configured:

Within the Navionics Boating app, go to the Menu and select “Paired devices”
Click the "ADD DEVICE" button:
Ensure that you are connected to a Wi-Fi network and that X100 is also on the same Network, or the mobile or tablet is connected in "DIRECT CONNECT" mode.
When asked for the connection settings, enter the IP Address of the X100 (this can be found in the Wireless settings: Here). Set the Port number to 10110.
When connection to the X100 has been established, follow the remaining instructions in the mobile app.
Note: Whilst this article details connection to the Navionics Boating app, steps discussed to enable the output of navigation sentences applies to other apps, such as TZ iBoat and other apps that support receiving NMEA 0183 data, including AIS targets, over WiFi.
