Identifier configuration

Once quickAIS is installed, open the application and enter the following information:

  • MMSI number - Enter the vessel’s 9 digit MMSI number. The MMSI must be programmed to operate the Identifier.
  • Vessel name - Enter the name of your vessel.
  • Call sign - Enter your vessels call sign.
  • Vessel type - Select the type of your vessel.
  • Vessel's dimensions - Enter your vessel dimensions to the nearest whole metre, referenced to the location of the Identifier.

Safety-Warnings.pngWARNING
Always use a unique MMSI number when setting up the AIS Identifier—never duplicate the mothership or any other vessel. Using the same MMSI can cause signal conflicts and tracking errors.
