There are two ways to disable AIS alarms:
Using the MKD menu on the device
Using the configAIS configuration software
Method 1: Using the MKD Menu
Some alarms can also be disabled directly from the device menu.
Steps
Navigate to:
MENU → Installation → Inland AIS → Alarm MaskingEnter the password: 00000000 (eight zeros).
Set the required alarms to Disable.
Save the settings.
Method 2: Using configAIS Software
You can disable alarms using our configuration software configAIS.

Steps
Connect your AIS device to your computer using an RS232-to-USB converter.
Open the configAIS software.
Navigate to the Configuration tab.
Deselect the alarm(s) you want to disable.
Click Save to store the new configuration.
Note:
The following alarms can be disabled if the equipment is not fitted:
ROT (Rate of Turn)
Heading
EPFS
